How much of your Jewellery is Handmade?

It is very important to me to create pieces that are truly individual to the brand and I take great care in ensuring each piece is made to a high standard. From design conception to final finishing, all stages are carried out by myself, using traditional metalsmithing techniques. Where possible all parts of a piece are made by hand- even down to ear wires, however there are elements that may be machine made. These include earring back scrolls, fine chains and clasps as these are often finer and tougher than handmade versions.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

All items are made by hand, some of these will be already in stock and some will be created upon ordering. Times may vary depending on items ordered and delivery location.
Items listed as in stock will usually be dispatched within 5 working days.
Items listed as made to order will usually be dispatched within 2-3 weeks. There may be delays during peak ordering times so if you need an order by a specific date it’s best to contact me directly.

What is hallmarking and should it be on every piece?

In the United Kingdom, all items over a certain weight that are sold as gold, silver, palladium or platinum must be hallmarked by one of the UK assay offices to confirm they meet the legal standards for these precious metals. As a guarantee of quality, all silver items weighing over 7g and all gold items purchased from Fran Blake Jewellery will carry the appropriate hallmark. See our Dealer’s notice below:

What if I don’t know my ring size or I’m buying it as a gift?

Not a problem! There are several ways of overcoming this. There are a few methods of working out your ring size which can be found here. If you do order a ring and it doesn’t fit, a free of charge replacement ring can be ordered in the correct size. Further details on this can be found on our returns policy page.

How will my order arrive?

I believe in using sustainable materials wherever possible and as such, all packaging is either: made from recycled materials, recyclable or biodegradable and sourced as locally as possible. All packaging can be recycled after use.

Do you sell gift cards?

I do indeed! Giftcards can be purchased here in £25 increments starting at £50.

Is Fran Blake Jewellery eco-friendly?

Not only is our packaging sustainable (see above), but I also use local suppliers where possible for materials, and have some pieces made from recycled precious metals to minimise wastage. Even scrap metals are saved to be re-cast in house.

Do you do any bespoke or commission work?

At present I am not undertaking any regular commission work. If however, you have any customisation requests for designs listed in the shop then please get in touch here and I will be more than happy to see how I can help.
