Ring Sizing
How to work out your ring size
Buying rings online can be a little daunting when you aren’t able to try them on in person. Here are some tips on making sure you order the right size:
Ideally, visit a local Jewellers where they will be able to accurately measure your ring size with a sizing tool. This is a service most Jewellers are more than happy to provide free of charge and is the method I would recommend if possible. They will usually have different sizing tools that correspond to different ring styles.
If you know your ring size but need to convert it to a UK ring size you can do so by referring to this sizing chart.
You can purchase a re-usable ring sizer from me here. These will be posted to you first class and you will receive a discount code with the ring sizer to use on future orders. Unfortunately, whilst I make every effort to avoid plastic where possible, this is the only material these are available in. You can however keep hold of them and use them again in future; for yourself or family and friends.
If you have an existing ring of the correct size, you can click here to print a ring sizing chart and identify what size the ring is.
Whilst you can try measuring the circumference of your finger with a strip of paper or string, I don’t really recommend this method. It’s hard to be accurate and tape measures, paper or string are flexible so they don’t mimic a solid ring shape. There is only 1 mm difference between some ring sizes so it’s easy to make mistakes with this method.
Bear in mind when measuring your fingers, regardless of method, that they can change size depending on your body temperature so it is safest to get a measurement when you are warm at the end of the day.
It is also worth considering the style of ring you will be wearing. Generally, for wider bands (>4mm) it is recommended to chose a size larger than you normally would as this is more comfortable. The same applies for multiple narrower bands that are designed to be worn as stacking rings together.
If you do purchase a ring from me and it is the wrong size, I would be happy to exchange for an alternative size. If this is the case, simply contact me and I will advise you on expected production time; as items are handmade, occasionally there may be a small delay with this unless the alternative size is already in stock. This service is available for one ring resizing request, all you need to do is arrange the postage back to me.
